Arrow Engine swap?

I've been talking with some people at school, and a few have recommended and egine swap. Anyone know how much a swap froma 3.8 to a 4.6 would be, and is it even worth it? I'm pretty sure I'd have to get a new suspention system to support the added wieght, and also definitely get bigger tires.

Im doing a cobra swap and its expensive since the block is being redone for a turbo or supercharger. My wife is attached to the car so thats why im doing it on my Gt. I would of just sold it and bought a cobra if my wife will let me. I think in your case I would buy a GT unless you are going to do all the work.

You would have to get a new rear end and transmission and a whole lot of other stuff. It will cost more than it would cost to get a gt.

Honestly, it seems that you know too little to do an engine swap. I really don't mean to be a jerk, but if you really want to, you'll need to do a lot more extensive research other than getting some quick answers on the forums. Too many people ask these questions, and 99% of the time, they don't even think about it again. If you really want a V8, I would recommend selling the 6 and buying an 8. That way, you'll save yourself from a lot of what-if's and probably money too. If you do end up swapping it, make sure you document it with a lot of pictures so future swappers aren't so much in the dark. Good luck.

heres a good how-to compliments of www.stangparts.com
::edit:: that didnt work so go to stang parts and then go to the how to articles section and you should see it. im also thinking of doing a v8 swap instead of a v6 build up mainly for the sound the 6 banger sounds like a$$

is it just me or is a v9 swap purely for sound kinda worthless...

Anyway, if done right, a 6 sounds pretty amazing, just get A full exhaust kit, headers to tips and that thing will growl!
