Default Exhaust question!

I know ive posted 100,000 thread's about exhaust but i need opinions! I have a 2000 V6 and i was going to go with a MAC O/R H-pipe and then there cat-back but since my dads name is on the title i have to get stupid catilytic converters. So what is my best setup? Should i do a complete system or just a Y-pipe bolt on? I just got a job so i now have some money for it. Please i really want opinions! I have read the exhaust sticky but want opinions.
Thanks alot

In all honesty I am not big on V6 exhaust. I would however recommend Seanstang's setup, whatever it is, with cats. His car sounded sick for a six.

Since you have to have cats, then just get one of those Y-pipe adapters that cuts the Y out and makes it an H-pipe but leaves the cats, and then add the Mac catback.

Yep here is a quote for the product. "
This kit adapts GT V8 Cat-Back systems to the 1999-2004 Mustang with 3.8L V6."

So just add whatever catback you want for a GT mustang. It will bolt right up with that adapter.
