Question 1995 3.8L cold air intake question

You know that hose that just barely has enough length to hook up to your new intake system? My stang just had some hoses repaired and now its shorter. When i get a cold air intake and it wont fit should i just try taping and clamping the gap? or do i need to buy a new hose that can cost hundreds?
-Thanks

What hose are we talking about? The one that goes from the valve cover for the PCV, or the the one for the IAC (idle air control) it goes to the intake manifold. Either one of those can just be replaced with hose from Autozone, advanced, etc... for a few dollars.
