Default v6-v8 exhaust adapter

I've decided to go with the v6-v8 adapter and a Gt catback exhaust. I've done a little looking around underneath the car and I am kind of nervous that it might not fit or it will need some bending. Has anyone installed this kit on a 2001 v6?

Here's the link for the kit i'm buying:
http://www.americanmuscle.com/v6duexadkit1.html

I've got to know that this will work with no problems because I am going to install it in my garage and I need to know if anyone else has done this and had any problems?

Thanks

it will fit fine it just makes it so there are 2 paths. Just turns the Y pipe into a H design basically

According to the description, no welding is necessary. The kit comes with clamps. I think I might have it welded by my friends at a local shop later but for this summer I think I will just stick with the clamps. The reason I ask is because my y pipe has a (for lack of a better word) "lip" on the side of the pipe that will need to be cut off to allow me to slide the adapter on. I just wanted to know if anybody has run into a similiar problem. I've got a 2001 v6 convert.

its exactly like an h pipe and it comes with the three clamps so there is no welding necessary. Tristang, you getting that adapter soon?
