Well, I'm looking at all the options, has anyone had any experience with this adapter piece? I've looked all over the internet and I still can't figure out where it exactly goes. I guess it goes after the cats but If only someone had a pic of it installed

What system are you talking about? Pypes has an exhaust kit for like $400 that's a y pipe to duals, and Jegs has something similar. Is that what you're talking about, or are you talking about some other adapter kit by American Muscle?

That's just a kit that changes the stock y pipe and it goes from the cats back into a dual outlet system. That means you can use the 99-04 v8 catbacks.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what I believe it does. In my opinion it'd be cheaper to get a v6 Jegs or Pypes True-Dual system, but it'd be better to hear the system on someone elses car to see if you like it before spending money and installing something you could end up hating. Seems like pypes aren't liked much on these or the 3.8mustang forums, but who knows. It's your money, you choice. |
