im debating whether or not i want to cam my 02 v6 mustang. is it worth it to cam my car if i dont do heads and lower intake at the same time? i mostly want it for sound but the performance is an added bonus. im thinking about a duration of 218/224. what do you guys think? and about how long is the install? because im gonna have to pay to get it done. and do i just need springs and retainers?

that is a pretty big duration for a 3.8. i am running a 219/224 right now with my 4.2L and it lopes pretty good.
install should be around $500 give or take. It is worth it causes the cam is the weakest point of a stock motor. It is the reason bolt-on cars dont hit above 200rwhp very often. you should see a 15-20rwhp increase. call Matt at Delk performance and talk with him if you are serious about a cam. here my 4.2L idle with a cam/full MAC exhaust. http://youtube.com/watch?v=VYbpqBcpcpI
