Dave04Mustang 11-27-2007 12:49 PM

ah thats right that was the one i was looking for to post. I remember that thread was posted somewhere on this board to but I forgot where

SnTBakosFinest 11-29-2007 11:08 PM

So..uh..how much power will a Cobras S/C Put out for a v6?

Will it be the same as a 3.8 blower?

mysteed 11-30-2007 06:39 AM

More than a Vortech and less than a Procharger. Expect around 250-275rwhp and similar torque depending on what mods you have done.

the gillz 11-30-2007 03:38 PM

Im guessing that wont fit under a stock hood.

3.8for the win 11-30-2007 03:50 PM

im going to keep my plan and get a Procharger.

SnTBakosFinest 11-30-2007 03:54 PM

ya..i don't do my own work anyways..so after the parts/install... i'd be looking at close to the same amount probably..

You can get everything you need in a kit that's soon to be released for considerably less than 3k. The intstall is quite easy too.

SnTBakosFinest 12-01-2007 11:27 PM

Its not how complicated the install is or anything like that. I live in an apartment complex. I can't do carwork in the parking lot, and even if i could, i can't leave my hood popped while i go do something around here..

PColav6 12-02-2007 10:25 AM

Hmm, this is interesting.

I never really looked into any s/c's for v6s so I don't really know anything about this..but is this any better of a deal than a kit made for the 3.8? As far as $$ and rwhp/tq gains are concerned.

And after reading some posts in your thread, I take it that this won't fit under a stock 2000+ hood? :(

I don't know what you mean by a better deal. Better hp per dollar spent? Yes.

It will not fit under the stock hood.

PColav6 12-02-2007 11:07 AM

What about the Termy hood?

3.8for the win 12-02-2007 11:12 AM

what about this hood or the cobra r hood?

Not tall enough, it's just barely taller than the stock hood.

Are you asking if you can run dual poweradders? I don't see why you couldn't. If you want 300rwhp you can always run a smaller blower pulley like the Cobra guys do.

3.8for the win 12-02-2007 12:52 PM

so if i got this setup with smaller pulleys you think it would get to 300?
