Default Turndown

I went to an exhaust shop here in town and I was talking to him about doing true duals for my v6. He said the best he was willing to do was put a glasspack on the single pipe. Well...thats not what im looking for.

A friend of mine suggested doing the same set up as his truck. Flowmaster muffler turned down. I love the idea, and ive talked to a few of my friends that work on cars and know about exhaust and they all gave me the 2 thumbs up.

What do yall think about the idea of running no pipes out the back and chopping up to the new muffler?

well i don't know much about exhaust but it doesn't sound like a good idea, just go ahead and get true duals like you were planning, it will sound a whole lot better than what they are suggesting for u. like i said i'm not a tech or nothing but true duals will be the way to go if u wanna new exhaust on a sixer

for pure sound thats an ok setup. To gain a few ponies you need to ditch the Y-pipe and get true duals setup. You can still run whatever muffler you like and do turndowns on those.

I run em. You can smell a bit of exhaust at stoplights but it never bothers me. It's a nice clean look with a v6 rear bumper cover.

It works well for a v6 bumper cause you dont have the stupid pipes sticking out from under the bumper. My super 40's sound good dumped and my friends regular 40's sound good too. It might be a flowmaster thing but it should sound good for everything
