Default Gear Confusion

I searched some of the other forums but wasnt quite sure if i understood some of the stuff with the gears

If i wanna get 4.10 gears does the speedometer need re-calibrated?

I Have a '95 V6 Auto

yes it does. But since you have a 94-98 model mustang, i am 99% sure that you can buy a "speedo gear" from like autozone or something. Not sure how much they are, but i think they are like 5 bucks and will fix it for you. The 99-04 guys use the Tuners because our speedos are controlled by the computer.
but someone should double check me on the gear thing.

like he said you can just replace the gear in the tranny to the fix the speedo at the sensor.

yes you need to recal.

i think they have speed cal on AM.com

Dont need speed cal on 98 and older models it will not work. You can do it for sooo much cheaper and in the 96-98 cars (which can have a tuner adjust the speedo) its still cheaper to just replace the plastic gear in the tranny for all 98 and older cars.

well i think obdII flash tuner is the best but they didnt come back then did they

Flashers didnt come around till 2001ish and they were crap i had one. Regardless get the speedo gear from steeda nd install its easy and will fix your problem cheap.
