Default dual borla melting bumper

hey i jus got a new borla exhaust put on my v6 so theres no cut outs for it and its rubbing the bumper is this a serious problem like will it melt it

I assume it's the tips rubbing? I don't think it'll melt it, but you probably will see some black staining from exhaust fumes. Also probably some paint peeling/chipping from where the tips are rubbing. Obvioulsy, you'll want to lower the tips some. I'd say 3/4" below the bumper should be sufficient.

O yeah can you show a pic of what it looks like maybe a sound clip to i dont trust the sound clips on website i want to know for sure how it sounds

you can always cut the bumper so it fits correctly. Thats what makes the most sense. Theres a how to on Mustangworld.com it's really simple and to be honest it makes the V6 rear dual exhaust look like it should. Or you could always blow smoke out the side like me..

Most of the v6's I see with dual exhaust. The tips are touching or damn near it. I don't think you will have a problem

my pipes are installed the same way and i have not noticed any melting or discoloration. I wouldnt worry about it less you put on a riced out 5" tailpipe, that will really turn the bumper black.
