What you'll have to do is take out the current stereo unit and you'll have to run your wires to one of 2 places. You can put the Sony unit either in your trunk or in your console. If you put it in the console you can re-route your wiring right under your plastic molding around your shifter and to the bottom of the console, but if you mount it on the ceiling of the trunk the easiest way to route your wires is under the dash, through your door trim, and up behind your back seats though the little shelf behind the rear seat heads. Then you can mount the CD player right in front of the holes there and you won't have any wire showing and it'll look clean.

*EDIT*

I'll try and get a pic of my buddies set-up. He has all his amp wires run that way. I don't have an amp, and my disc changer is in-dash so I can't show you on my car but his set-up will work in your car.

Taking out the stereo is a whole lot easier than most people think. There should be 2 screws on the under-side of one of the cross bars on your plastic framing on your dash panel. Just unscrew those and it'll pop off. Then you just unscrew the stereo from the dash panel and it slides right out. Because it is attached to a wiring harness, you're going to need to do some custom wire work to keep your stereo hooked up to the power too. I do believe the power is the blue and yellow cords. I don't have a manual so I can't check, but if you have a car manual or one of those guides from Pep-boys then it'll say which ones are the power cords. Pull out ONLY those 2 cords from the harness. Make sure you cut the ones coming from your battery, not coming out the back of your stereo, and rememer which slot which wire came out of. Then just take some scotch locks and bind up each power wire with the wires from your CD player and an extra piece of audio wiring. You can buy that stuff cheap at walmart, like 50 or 100 ft for 12 bucks (18 gauge I do believe). Just stick the ends of your extra wire back into the respective slots on your harness and you're done. It shouldn't take more than a half and hour. The only tough part is running your wire from the front to the trunk. I suggest you cut yourself about an extra foot of wire because you can always cut more off but you can't add.

I don't think so because the way those CD players are set up, they aren't meant to be put in the dash like a stereo unit. When I got my new stereo I took out the CD player and the head unit and put the stereo where the head unit was and then bought a pocket to put where the CD player was to hold pens and gum and misc. stuff. The pockets are only like 17 bucks so you could just pop out your CD player and do that too.
