Default Transmission Rebuild

I'm going to have my 99 automatic v6's trani rebuilded, and I was wondering if there is any sort of shift kit that would make it shift harder once it's all rebuilt. Or is there anything else Ishould have done as long as I have the trani ripped out?

J-mod consists of drilling some holes larger and swapping springs in your trannys valve body.

Personally I'm going with a whole street/strip new valve body from Performance Automatic. Sells for around $250. Helps firm up shifts without upping line pressure that can cause premature tranny wear and damage. Oh and while you're at it add a tranny cooler

If you do go with a shift kit, def. go with a tranny cooler like Cuban said.

it does just what it sounds like, cools the tranny off. You do not want any tranny to run over 210* max. Heat cook's and kills trannys. Trust me i have been threw a few of overheated 4r70w's.

This goes for all trannys though.

w00t. For my run in the SSCC I have a cooler and pump setup for my manual. I'll be doing 120-140 for about 45 minutes solid in Nevada desert heat so I have coolers under construction or already installed for every fluid lubricant in the car.
