Default V6 Headers

Sup i am new to this forum , but i was wondering what the best kind of headers are for my 2001 v6 and what places have the best deal and also how diffaclut they are to install? aight thanks

headers for a six...

well shorty headers will do nothing for you...maybe gain 1 hp but maybe

you want to go with some longtube headers...probably some MAC longtubes would be the best way to go.

there is my 2 cents

Deffintly mac long tube headers!!! They are a little on the difficult side to install i believe.

do you know approx how much more hp it will give me , right now i only have about 225 hp

well school work is another issue all together...lol

but as far as hp. i'm assuming your talkin about at the crank...it should give maybe 5-10 depending on alota other things, also what kinda mid pipe u use... Mac is the only company that offers long tube headers for our cars, so i'd get Long Tube headers and an offroad h-pipe to match, unless you live in a state with really bad emissions laws...then get a Catted H-pipe

I had Ford racing shorties on my old v6. I never noticed a power gain, but it sounded alot meaner with the o/r X pipe and full exhaust.

well i dont know exactly if its 30 more hp , but i have been told by many other ppl that thats how much i have gained, i dont think that much though, can you please estimate how muhc i have gained
I Have[LIST]
[*]Dual flowmaster exhasut w/cutoff
[*]racing chip
[*]cold air intake

and then i have a bunch of exterior mods, but thats all for performance

i just got some more cash and need more performance mods,
thats y i was aksing bout the headers, i am looking at either headers or gears but not sure, if you have any other idea of things i shud get let me know

If i had to do it all over again, i would have gotten longtube headers, seeing they have more HP gains, the shorties just change the sound.

Yes they will give it a deeper throatier sound but still not like a V8.
