Default supercharger, on a V6?

hey guys i got a V6 with the GT backend in it, and shift kit, all that good stuff, the engine is tunned, and new pulley's BUT the engine's got 92k on it.... ive herd my engine is a rock and can last forever... but the tranny goes out, well i have that rebuilt, and don't think that will cause problems on my auto. what do you guys think about the S/C??? or should i drop the 4.2 crate engine in and s/c that?? i know it sounds stupid, but ive got my car how i want it! and id cost me 8k on a GT and then id want to lower, tint, wheels, exhaust, well i already have that on my car now, and want to make it run a GT or BETTER! i know its possible but what do you guys think about my car having 92k on it, is it safe? or should get a stoker kit, and stroke it to a 4.1 or 4.2?

If you have the money to have it built then buy the new engine. 92k isnt all that much but its getting up there. As long as your car is running strong I wouldnt hesitate to put a supercharger on it. I really think that maybe 8 pounds of boost wont hurt the engine at all.

My bonestock 2v engine had been through 2 years of NX 100 shot, 3 years running 8-12lbs vortech s-trim, got into boost daily while racing on the weekends, had 157,000 miles on it, and was running like new

wait, u already rebuilt the engine and tranny, why don't u just spend the money on a 4v V8 and work with that, it's liek 3100 bucks from Ford Racing and another couple grand in other things, new rear and mods for the engine +plus install thats well under your 8 grand price gap...but thats just me...

eaton is awaiste because you would have to go single port, that is a pain in the arse. 92k is fine for a blower. Pick yourself up a used procharger or vortech and your good to go. If in the future the engine dies or something like that happends, then you can look into getting a 4.2 or a 3.8 from a junkyard or someone selling them.

And disregard that 'cobra engine' comment. that v6 has pleanty of potential in it. Add pretty much any boost to it and your above and beond that 99-04 GT that was going to cost you 10k more (or w/e)

And done feel stuipid for wanting to make your 6'r fast, it is very doable.

goodluck
