Default Front & Rear Tires

Question:

If I get 275/40/17 for the front and 315/35/17 for the rear how will the car handle with these different width tires? Especially cornering? Also, how do you keep the front tires from wearing out too quickly if you can't rotate the front and rear tires?

Well, first...Them are pretty well the widest tires you can get on the front and rear of our cars, so it will stay planted to the ground in the corners. I have ran this setup before. Only thing you might notice with 275's on the front is with that wide of a tire the car tends to follow the dips and grooves in the road. So hold on to the wheel.

As far as wear and tear, when you get lowered, get Caster/Camber plates (which I see on your list), and just keep up to date on your alignments. Thats about all you can do. I originally every 6000 miles or so had mine dismounted from the rim and swapped to the other rim. Problem with that is that 95% of shops out there can't dismount and remount them big tires without letting the machine eat up the edge of at least 1, if not all your wheels. I had all 4 wheels replaced b/c that happened to me.

Im running 275's all the way around right now, and they follow every single little bump and groove in the road, so be aware of that. They aren't tough to get used to, just a little different than normal.... lol

I run the stock size 245/45/17 on my front bullets 17x9 and have my 315s out back. I would'nt run a 275 up front but thats just me!
