Question Advice Needed!!!

Ok im pretty sure that I started a thread about this a while back but I just want to make sure now that I have to buy some tires. I wanted to get G Force TAKD but they are backordered forever there is nowhere else to get them and I have checked everywhere. I am currently bidding on a pair of used ones on ebay but in case I lose the bidding here is my question. I definatley want to stay with BFG and the only other tire they make in a 315 is the drag radial. When i called tire rack a while ago they said that these tires would burst if you drive them on the highway or for extended periods of time. Is this true? Also the car is only driven maybe once or twice a week and I do take it on the highway. So what is my best bet. Buy the DR or sacrifice having the same brand all the way around and get street tires in another brand keeping in mind that I want the widest which are BFG or Goodyear. Thanks for your input as I need to order soon

I've heard that the KD's have fairly poor treadwear for a street tire and also they are horrible in the rain. Sounds like you arent driving it much in the rain though.

Since you have to get 315's that doesnt leave much choice. The Goodyears GS-D3's are some sweet tires and look huge. I've heard only good things from them, my friend works at Tire Kingdom so I get a lot of good input.

a Dr is not gonna pop on the highway i am not sure why they would tell you that. Its really just bad info. only thing is this 1- its gonna hook hard 2- they wear faster then street tires, keep the burnouts down and you will be just fine 3- those arent the best in the rain but this shouldnt stop you from driving them in the rain just dont go 80 in the rain. When the tread goes down thats when they really suck in the rain.

Friend of mine has BFG DR's, 275/35?/18's and they look huge, so I'm sure the 315's in your size are gonna be HUGE. They really like them as well, hook very well. They're actually gonna be doing 4.30 gears since they have the DR's.

i completely agree... i have bfg drag radials, i had them up to 120 two nights ago. dont worry about driving them on the street. just dont expect them to last as long as a street tire. the traction is great. i havent driven mine in the rain and hopefully never will.

I just bought a set of G-Force Sports in 275/35/18. Much cheaper than the KD's...I think they were $160 each at Tire Rack. I really like them so far...and they're great in the rain. They hook pretty well when they're warm...but nowhere near drag radials. Overall performance is really good though.
