ever since i lowered the car i get this clunking sound whenever i first take off...usually only does it once. another time it did it when i stopped going up a hill and then took off again...i took a quick look at my exhaust and i didnt see anything but like i said it was a quick look. anyone have any other ideas what it could be? sounds like its coming from the back for sure, maybe the passenger side.

Sounds like universal joints in the driveshaft maybe. Get under there and grab the driveshaft at each end and try to wiggle it. There shouldnt be any movement. If there is movement the universals are going bad. The good thing is they are cheap and easy to fix. Just did my Montero this weekend for $25 and 30 mins.
