What shocks and struts should I get for my 2000 gt vert? I already have H&R sports.

tokico HP (mach1 struts & shocks) will be plenty. If you want adjustable then Tokico Illumina's are a good choice. If you go adjustable, definitely stay on the bottom end of the adjustment range.
BTW... this belongs in the suspension forum. Mods... if you would. |

I would only get Bilstein. Those other's are plenty good, but I like the best of the best, so I personally would pay for the Bilstein's.

![]() And yes, I prefer bilsteins over ANY other but for this car... they didn't seem like the ticket at almost double the price. If you decide to go more aggressive later then you'll want to revisit the shock/strut package, possibly with a set of bilsteins. |

At least I don't gripe at you for moving them. It's a good policy!

I don't plan on changing the springs so the Bullitt ones should be just fine? I need to get rid of the bouncing since this is my dd.

the bouncing? describe it please. is it literally rebounding from a single bump more than once? If so your existing struts are TOAST.
In any case, the bullits should do very nicely for you. If you don't have some MM CC plates already, do yourself a favor and get some. |

I never got an alignment after the springs but I had it on the lift the other day and only noticed a slight uneven wear on the driver side front tire...thats it for having springs about 5 months now. As for the bouncing, its more of just a harsh ride. You feel every bump and you do sorta bounce once after the bump.

All I can say to that is, "LUCKY BASTAGE". Your ride will firm up after the new dampers but it'll be (probably) less harsh. Right now you're underdamped so you're probably seeing some bottoming of the struts (harshness on big bumps) and excessive rebound (bouncing) is almost surely coming from blown struts. If you're only getting a little uneven wear on the driver side... well you're lucky like I said. If you can get a tire friendly alignment without the plates... that's really nice. If you notice uneven wear continuing after the new dampers, have your alignment checked and post the start and finish specs. I may be able to help...
Is the inside, outside or middle of your tire wearing faster? Are there any signs of cupping or feathering in any of those spots? |

The tire is worn a little on the inside. Don't know anything about cupping or feathering.

I know I just dont know what hes talking about when he says cupping and feathering. I bought the Bullitt shocks and got some new strut bushings from stangsuspension.com. I'll get an alignment after everything is put on.
