I dont know why people think nitrous is cheating. Im not talking about professional drag racing where nitrous is illegal for the class. Im talking about just street or street legal drag racing.

I went out to the local street legal night at my local fairgrounds and raced in the "domestic" class. Everyone there knows I have nitrous on my car, so its not a mystery or anything. We have practice runs, then we go into eliminations. I spray my car pretty much everytime I run it and people usually dont have a problem with it. Theres no rules that say I cant use nitrous. Anyway, we get into eliminations. Theres 4 cars left. Somehow an LT1 and a stock 03 GT make it to the semifinals with me and another 03 GT with NOS. Everybody knew that me and the other GT with NOS were the fastest cars out there. As I come to line up for the semifinals, I see that the GT with NOS is my opponent. I pulled behind him because the other 2 cars were much slower than us and I didnt want a stock GT to beat me in the eliminations because of who raced who. The 03 that pulled up next to the guy with NOS got pissed because he said I was supposed to race him. (He really was pissed cause he knew I was pretty much just eliminating him by doing that) Since he was whining so much they made me race the 03 with NOS. He had a 150 shot, no interior, slicks, and skinnies up front. I got the holeshot and beat him. The LT1 was eliminated by the stock 03 GT. So somehow the finals came down to me and a stock 03 GT. LOL. Thats not even a race with me on the spray. Now keep in mind that were all racing for 50 bucks, a trophy, and free admission. I normally wouldnt race a stock one on the spray, but for 65 bucks I will. So we run the first time and I was just playing with him. I didnt even have it at WOT half of the run. I beat him. We pulled around to recieve our trophys and such, then he starts cryin. He said I was cheating cause I used NOS. I got pissed and told him that we can race again with no spray. He finally agrees after more crying. I was determined to shut this guy up tonight. We pulled to the line after I had turned the system off. I got a big jump on him off the line, then we were pretty much running about the same but I had about 2 cars on him at the finish line. After we raced he told me he wanted to put NOS on his ride.....OOOKKK. I thought he just got done saying NOS was cheating. I took home the money and was proud of it.
I think people just get pissed cause they got beat and not because we use NOS. If you get beat, then you get beat. End of story.
