Default Anyone using the factory Mach with amps and subs?

I just figured out that i keep blowing subs because i was trying to control my bass from the subs through the factory head unit. I am using two MTX amps and two 1k watt dual voice coil Audiobahns. I have to get an aftermarket head unit with sub control or is anything better than the Mach 460?

I bought a sub amp that had a level control knob that plugs into it. The amp is a MTX MXA 4001. I'm running two DVC Alpine 10s on it. Where did you tap into the wiring for your signal? I used the data link, Here's my post on it. It has some details, but here's what I had my settings at.
MACH head unit:bass half way up
line output converter:3/4 way up
gain on amp:1/3 way up
bass boost:1/3 way up
Since I have the adjustable knob level knob, I can dial in the amount of bass depending on the CD I'm listening to.

I have never even touched my line output converter since it was installed but the rest of my settings is just about where you have yours.

Thanks for your input... I thought i was the only person that had this problem.

i would get an after market head unit.....not only will u be able to control the bass better but u can get better performance outta ur regular speakers....i have 4 speakers w/ a 150w max output....the head after market head unit i have only produces 52w....so i bet a stock head unit is way less..besides....if u wanna hook an ipod up to it, it wont be that hard
