Default New Audio Toy for #5339

Put in this yesterday: Clarion NX409 DVD/Nav setup. Works really nicely. I had to modify the mounting kit pretty extensively for it to fit for some reason though.

It was like $600, ordered a bunch of stuff at the same time, so I don't know the exact price.

I bet my SCT badge was there first.........lol

The sound quality, even with the factory Mach 460 amps is greatly improved, that's for sure. I can't wait until after X-Mas, when I can install the rest of my audio gear. I've got some very very nice stuff for it, just can't buy anything else for the old girl until after X-Mas, and I still need the wiring kit, RCA's, and a Sundown SAZ-2000d for my bass.

I've got a set of Kicker SSMB-6's for the doors, the Q-Form kick panels with CDT ES-62 midrange and tweets in them, a Sundown SAX-100.4 to run them, and a pair of 10" subwoofers custom built just for me, the only set in existance, built just for the Mustang.....Woot!!!

Lucky you!! Congrats bro. I couldn't believe the difference in sound that replacing my door and rear deck speakers with the kickers made.

I'm gonna prolly have to do something i really don't wanna do again, and go back to driving trucks. Just ain't makin the kinda money i was when i was driving. Only good thing bout it is, there will be PLENTY of money to pour into the Bullitt.

Clarion is a good choice, but definitely not the best quality.

With good components a clarion sounds okay, but nowhere near the quality of Pioneer or Kenwood.

I do like their designs though. And like I said, for the price they can't be beat, but my audiophile side has to make it's stand.

I have a Rockford Fosgate 360.2 to handle all the important duties, and as a fellow audiophile, you know you have to give up sound quality to get DVD. That combined with Sundown amps and CDT Audio midrange and tweets should do the job well.
