I have a fiber glass Cobra R hood. Its holding up rather well. You don't have to get the Hood pins they really arnt necessary but i still put some on mine mainly just for looks.

Does it have metal enforced latch area? I've had a carbon fiber Cobra R hood from VIS/Cervinis for about three years now, it has a metal latch area. I don't have hood pins and I've never had problem even up to speeds of about 130 or a little more. The stock latch should work.

its the one from ford racing it says it has steel reenforced latch area and if i put hood pins on im going to a body shop to have it done so if they mess up they pay for the new paint and hood i have just heard of ppl saying that the hood has come up at freeway speeds

As long as you close the hood all the way you will be fine.
