Stripes..
Im really considering 2 black bumper to bumper 8 or 10 inch stripes strait down the middle..also..it may sound rice, but im throwin this out what would u guys think of an offset single stripe on the left? BUT what this is really for...what do you guys think about racing stripes? What size do you think they should be? and how easy is the "install"

Don't do the offset line. Like you said, looks ricey. I do like the thinner pinstripes on James's car however.
As far as install, you'll need to make sure the wax is stripped, car is clayed, rubbed down with denatured alcohol, and you take your time. You don't want bubbles in them, or they will stand out like a sore thumb.

Stripes kick ***.
They are so freakin easy to do its rediculous, if you wanna do some and want some help, cruise on up to littleton and bring the stripes and ill supply the beer and we can hammer it out in no time.
get em from www.Rallystripes.com
honestly, if you do em down the middle, going with anything over 8 inches will be a real pain in the *** with that hoodscoop.
i ran with 8, definatly wouldnt go smaller than that

actually, if you use water/soap/achohol and spray the sticky side of the stripe and the car, you can sit there and slide em into place and get all the ubbles worked out... took me about 4 hours to remove the stock stripes and put these new ones one.

The site that slappy put up is where I got mine. The secret to forming them around curved surfaces is using a blow dryer or in my case a heat gun. You want to make it warm so it can stretch out a bit. If you apply too much heat it may mess it up so be careful. Another thing to do is when you have cut the strip that you will be applying dont get the rest of the roll wet on the paper side . Wet the entire suface of car where the stripe is going with mix solution, start peeling off and applying solution to vinly as quickly as you can and apply to car. Since both vinly and car are wet ,you can align now since stripe with glide on top of it . If the paper backing gets stuck to vinly due to the backing getting wet for too long, its not a problem but you will have to apply alot of solution and rub it off lightly from the adhesive part of the vinly or else you will see bumps.

Im totally stoked about those stripes. I think i paid $32 including S&H, and another 5 bucks for dishsoap, achohol, and the spray bottle. Then you see other sites that have "stripe kits" for $200+ that have JUST enough to do the car, better not screw up. <laugh> So far ive had no problem with them, they look great, no peeling.
its amazing what you can do for under 40 bucks and several hours.
gotta make sure you let them sit overnight before you take it out driving though. <laugh> dont want em flapping in the wind.
