definately paint this yourself, it is super simple. That or go to ebay and buy a vinyl panel( I tried this, but didn't have the patients to get that sticker to fold around the edges, it is a real pain to install.)
Ok, simply put. Go to autozone, pick up some black paint(gloss, flat black, or semi-gloss; your choice).
Pick up some 800 and 1000 Grit Sandpaper
Tape off with painters tape the top edge of the trunk panel area, to prevent sanding to far up on your trunk.
Now Sand with the 800 grit, until you no longer have a shine, then finish off with 1000 grit. You should still have base color, just no more clear coat on your paint. This should be done by wet sanding, meaning you get your sandpaper wet then sand the panel.
When done sanding dry the area and be sure it is free of any lint left behind from drying.
Mask off the back half of your car to prevent paint from getting anywhere except on the trunk panel. Be sure to mask off your liscense plate lights, wouldn't want to go painting those.
All that is left it to paint the area. Just do several even and light coats until the surface is sufficiently covered. For how to spray the paint, just read the back of the can and follow there directions for drying and coat application. As well as application of clear coat.
All done.
