99 GT speaker size question

I will be upgrading my whole factory sound system. Is it correct that a 99 GT has 6x8's in the doors and rear deck? I haven't gotten around to taking off the door panels yet. Also, will speakers with big magnets fit in the doors...or do they have to be a slim desing. I'm looking at some MB Quarts which look like heavy duty speakers(old school). They remind me of the quality 6x9's from back in the day(early 90's). I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks.

yes theyre all 6x8. and the heavy duty speakers should fit. i have 300 dollar infinity speakers in my door and they fit like they were stock.

how do they sound? I bet pretty loud....thats a big speaker for a door! I'm used to 4's or 5 1/4's.
