Just wanted to show you guys what i did last night. I went to a buddys house who powder coats. We powder coated my STOCK throttle body. I think it looks great! What ya'll think?

Look's pretty good!!
|
I'm liking it!! it doesnt make it hold heat though does it? (i dunno much about powdercoating)
|
Thanks alot guys. We were just experimenting with a new chrome powder and clear powder. The powder coating shouldnt affect the heat any at all. The pics really dont do it justice actually,, it looks more like a polished aluminum in person,, it is very reflective.

That's awesome man, ask him if he wants to do another one. ;)

I would have done it in black. A black powder coated thottle body and plenum would look awesome.
But that's not to say yours looks just as nice:punk: |

pics of iac after polishing
|
looks good. how much time do you have in polishing it?
|
thanks only bout an hour. I cleaned it in a bench grinder with a wire brush,, then hand polished it with mothers aluminum polish about 10 times. I could probally make it look alot better with like a dremel tool with a buffin bit on it. but all i had was rags and my hands. But if you look at it in the pic up top,,, it looks 100times better.:beerchug:

grab the "image Resizer" from Microsoft. It's very simple. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx |
I would like a new Dragon Plenum in Sonic Blue.
