Default Convertible Sub boxes?

I would like to add some subs to my mustang, but having a convertible I do not have much room in the trunk. I was wondering what other convertible owners had done. Anyone got pics, ideas or advice???

I've got a JL Audio custom enclosure for a 94-04 mustang convertible or coupe. It mounts on the passenger side and looks factory in the car. It's about $600 from JL brand new and includes a 10w6 sub which bumps really good!!! I've got it for sale too with the JL amp included. It's pretty awsome since it looks factory and doesnt take up much space and people rarely even notice it there.

I always weep silently whenever I open my trunk...
but I could see a single 10 or 12 working in the trunk. But if you put in double 12s or something, you'll be lucky to fit a sandwich in there!

Is it their stealth box? Their website says it won't fit in a vert? I'm looking to do the same thing in mine

The JL setup I have is the "Stealth box" and yes it is the one for a convertible and even though JL states that it wont fit a coupe....it does fit! I've already tested it in my G/F's '00 GT hardtop, along with her dads '94 cobra hardtop. I Cant use it since i have the Mach 1000 stereo. The setup JL has for a hardtop mustang has a less powerful sub, the convertible uses a more powerful sub and hits hard!

Ok, cool. I hate when they say something will not fit and it does. Thanks for the info

ha ha ha...

1. take the spare out

2. put the box in

3. slide the spare in under the box

4. slide the spare cover over the spare and under the box...

LOTS O' FUN...

It took me a good hour to figure a way to get it in there... But I knew it would fit... lol

i would feel bad if you had to waste your time measuring your box for me...but if you had the dimensions off hand it would help me out more than you know

In Inches: 30.5 x 11 x 15

thats a tuff fit... I wouldnt go much bigger... The subs stick out a bit and they hamper putting the box in the trunk too...

And ya only wasted half a minute...

the JL audio preformed box sounds awesome.

Be careful with what you put in the trunk as far as subs because being a vert you can end up with a system that sucks aZZ real quick.

Try looking for some free air subs, that would be your best bet
