Default milage?

I have a 01 gt with about 84,000 on her, there is a great deal that I can get a procharger put on it I don't know if my motor will be okey with that amount of miles on her or not. if anything should I rebuild the top end cam/heads/ etc?The motor is in really good shape though. If anyone could give me a little help that would be cool. Thanks

I don't understand this stigma with cars with some miles on them. Your car does not even have alot of miles on it at all. The thing with miles on your car will be that the bearing,etc... will get some wear, however that will not weaken the rods or the crank or pistons. The pistons and walls can get scratched up and what not, but a motor with good compression that doesn't eat oil is a good way to go. So in short if the motor is in good running order there is no reason not to.

just do it man, think how much cooler your car will be. And if you have a good deal on it then there is nothing to think about unless you dont have the money. good luck with whatever you do, the stampede is behind you all the way pal.

I am a big fan of the Procharger kits and the kinda power they make is awesome. The P1sc is the base blower and is good for around 15-16psi before it becomes totally unefficient. The D1sc is the upgrade over the P1sc and is much more efficient at higher boost levels. If you can afford it and are infact going to upgrade the motor later on then you should spend the extra cash and get the D1. If your not going to do that then the P1 would be fine for you.

that is what I was thinking would it be the safest thing to run at 8psi so I won't hurt my motor and would I still have to get it dyno tuned? are could I just use to chip that comes with the kit?

While it says 8psi, most get 10psi with there kits and you will want to tune the car for sure. I'm not of many kits that even come with tuning with the procharger.
