Best S/C kit For a V6?
what would you suggest? i plan on getting one abit down the road and im just looking as of now. their are a few i've seen. one from VMP tuning, RPMoutlet, and from here http://www.andysautosport.com/ford/1...ts/procharger/
i'm looking for around 250+ HP. I thought about just going with spray...

I'd go with mysteed's M112 kit once he starts sending those out, I'd say it's around $2700 for his kit, another $400-500 for a tuner from VMPtuning,a new hood (3" cowl atleast) and some boost gauges and you're good to go, supposed to get around 260-270rwhp with it. Faster than a GT.

there is some info on it.
TorkTech is making a similar setup for the 2V V8's.
Cost i about 3,600 for a non intercooled setup though
i wonder if they will sell them without the M112, on Superchargersonline you can buy a rebuilt M112 for 700 bucks.

Yeah but with that the price difference jumps up a lot. lol
Da2k17, the kit is a cobra m112 blower that has an adapter made to fit on the 3.8, mysteed, a member here and on 3.8mustangs is working on piecing together full kits that come with everything needed save a tune and boost gauges to get a lot more power for around $2600-2800.

that seems like it will be a really nice kit, i was gonna get a procharger but there just a little out of my price range right not but that m112 kit would be just fine price wise the only thing i dont like is having to get a cowl hood

Yeah that's the only drawback I see of the whole thing, the cobra R hoods will clear it, the 03-04 cobra hood won't, though.

So its going to be $2700 plus a hood $400-500 plus painting that hood $250-$350 plus tune $550. All for only 250-270rwhp? no thanks I'll take a Procharger 11psi kit and make close or over 300rwhp with a 3.8 and full exhaust.

i have had no problems with my kit other than i wish it was a D-1.
and the guy that always says just buy a GT never puts in the cost switch of the swap, just the mods.
hell for that matter go buy an 03 cobra + 7k HPP twins and run 700+rwhp..ya im awsome.(my dream car)

638rwhp to date on production block with no supporting block mods. It will be interesting to see the breaking point of the stock block.
for the 5.0 block that is about 480-500rwhp the block starts to split.

The M112 kit is only at 6-8psi, with 11 psi on that you could be seeing as much power as the procharger, and the M112 is probably an easier do-it-yourself install than a procharger (mysteed's going to ship it with full instructions for people who don't know what they're doing). Plus you also have to get a tune with the procharger too so it's not like you're saving any money.
And roots superchargers are just cooler.

I dont think a kit where you have to pull your entire intake manifold setup will be easier to install than a procharger setup that just bolts onto the front of the car. I did a procharger setup on teal beast car. We had it on in around 3-4 hours.
Oh yeah ment to ask is this kit going to be intercooled?

Does it come with all the fuel upgrades? Justins kit from VMPtuning.com comes with everything including fuel upgrades,tune, everything to install and go.

actually the p-1sc will produce more power than the m112. that is proven when the cobras switch to the p-1sc from the m112 and improve their numbers. now that's not to say the m112 for the money wouldnt get you to where you wanted to go. It would as be cooler and more fun on the street with the instant boost.
but ya the m112 can definitely handle more psi. i beleive the cobras take them to 13-14psi and then port them and go to 15-16psi.
I plan to go turbo when i can.

3K bucks for 65 HP vortech SC aint worth it. just get the Super Six Motorsports 'powerpak'. you get as much HP without spending so much. and if you do get a SC later on after those mods, you make a LOT more HP because you have better heads/cam.
