Default Kb Bap??

have an 04 gt and a Vortech v2....i have a 255 Walbro fuel pump, but i have changed my mind and i think going for a Kenne Bell Boost A Pump would work better and would be easier to install.... is this a good idea?

Thats a deffinat better idea as i have been told by a few people that there is no replacement walbro pump for the returnless cars aka 99+ some places say they have a walbro one but its not a turbin pump so it dies when it has vearing voltage like in our returnless cars. So yeah either the BAp or a Focus or aviator pump is a better idea.

Cobra tanks & pumps or Focus pump would be the safest bet.
BAP is easy as hell to do though, and works well.

I got the aviator pump. It cost me over 200 from the dealership so it was a little expensive but it works great with boost. Install was tedious (getting the part out that goes up to your fuel door was a pain cause it's so deep in there) but not hard. Getting the cobra setup and substituting in two focus or aviator pumps would probably be the ultimate set up. Inline pumps should work pretty well too (like T-Rex).

Actually a t rex wont work in our setups. And its been proven the cobra pumps are better than twin focus pumps.

I would love to be adding a kb 2.2, but I'm told that I shouldn't do it unless I go completely through my bottom end with forged everything and forged steel cobra crank, etc. Have you done this?

I am fascinated by this process (since I will eventually be doing it - though probably with the 1.7 unit). Any posts you can make to this thread as to your experiences would be greatly valued.

I'll get the cobra tank setup when I up the power on mine. But I will need to rebuild the motor with the forged rotating assembly before I push anymore power. Until then the focus pump seems to be working

same here. if you have a forged motor definetly go with the cobra setup. your gonna want to make more power and you will have the fuel system to handle upgrading power if you use the cobra tank
