Used Venom nitrous?

I found a good deal on a used venom 1000 kit. I just wanted to know whether or not I could still use it because I think once they are used on a car they cant be changed to work on another car. It came off of a 2000 GT and I have an 04. Will it work or would it just be a paint to have to reflash the control modual. And will it work with the xcal2? Thanks in advance.

it doenst lock onto one car. You can reuse them many times. The x-cal will work once you get a nitrous tune on it.

unless you have the pro-racer package and are tuning your own car you best bet is to call the place you baught it from and see what an extra tune would cost, some places do it for free.

Where did you buy it from? Also you cant at all run nitrous on that tune that comes with it, so dont try to.

Did you find this on ebay? i have one on ebay right now. Yes it will work on your car and you could call MT and they could send you a tune.

unless he baought it from them i wouldnt count on it. I would rather get a dyno tune because the venom kit is very pick on the a/f ratio.

Yeah the deal is on ebay.
So let me get this strait... I hook up the nitrous with the venom computer and the load the tune from my xcal2 and they will both work together? One doesnt try to overide the other?

all the venom does is pulse the injectors to add more fuel. This is why you kind a need a tune for that thing on the dyno because its a very finiky system to tune.

You would be better off for now till you are tuned to uninstall the tune before you spray the car because you dont have gears yet so you dont need the tune at the moment.

if your going to use that nitrous system dont use your xcal, dont spray with the timing advanced, return it to stock and run the 75 shot and it will be safe
