spark plugs

what spark plugs should I use for my V1 S-Trim s/c set up on my 2004 GT

1 step colder.

i used NGK-TR6's so do other people on this board (Spike_Africa)

whatever you do run just make sure it is 1 step colder then stock.

i would say the same i like my NGK TR6's part number 4177 at any parts store. you cant go in and ask for one step colder they are too dumb to know what you mean. So just tell them NGk plugs part number 4177 on the box. plus these plugs are pretty cheap as well.

my auto parts stores are generally pretty good about knowing whats up, mostly because they are all from the local car clubs lol.

I am using 2 steps colder autolites atm

Autolites are usually cheaper and perfectly suitable. Simple copper is all you need. 1-2 heat ranges colder. 1 for mild boost, 2 for wild.

i'll take wild plz

yeah... I was kinda poking at your high boost (and resultant SICK power) being the reason you'd selected 2 steps colder.

matrixpuba 06-15-2006 09:51 AM

ngk tr6 for me

jjtgiants 06-15-2006 10:12 AM

If the parts store doesn't know what your talking about when you say NGK TR6's just tell them to look up the plugs that are in the 2002 Lightning truck.

I'm not blown, but I use the NGK TR6's and they seem to work great!

I was looking at the NGK br7ef's but they are 2 stages colder. Since I will only be running like 8psi would this be too cold?

i would think so. I only ran 1 step colder on my 8psi vortech and my 11psi procharger.

That being said. I dont think it will matter that much, i wouldnt think it would HURT.
