Alright as I have posted before the motor is out and torn down and will be getting bored and honed to fit my new stroker kit. I had too fore go on the cams for now since I had just enough to get the stroker kit and some supporting hardware for the car i.e. new billet trigger wheel and gear,ARP bolts all the way round, and 8 bolt fly wheel. But all should be together by the end of the week and ready to fire on Friday afternoon. :clap:

But my biggest thought about all this is what kind of power should I expect after putting my P-1 on with it pushing 15-20#? I wish I would be able to 500hp but now I'm not too sure I'll even make 450hp? Anyone have any ideas on how much I should get from this.

 

i dont see why you wouldnt make over 450, first of all you are making the engine biggere and stronger, your adding a stall, and your upping the boost level to almost double, so i think you will be right around 500

 

i could see the tq. # coming up a bid but dont know about the hp#'s. did you do heads too? from what i read i dont think the p-1sc is going to flow enough to support the extra cubes.

 

It will but I just don't see it making the 500 mark without the extra boost. I will be upgrading to a KB in the very near future. Also upgrading cams and heads. Then I'm calling it quits on the motor and tranny mods!

 

Alright the final skinny on this motor build. I think I'll be over 302 cubic inches since I'm getting a .020 over bore since one cylinder wall had a minor scratch in the wall. So Stroker rotating assembly with .020 bore should make it to be a 306.

 

After doing the math I should have a 5.1 litre GT Should still make better power than the stocker!

 

I don't have enough supporting mods for it to hit 500hp N/A which I don't think it would be very streetable. But later down the road heads and cams will be done and well this little P-1 will be sent off for a little upgrade!

So 500hp might be coming up alittle short on that but give me a year this motor will be bad ***!

 

Well the builder has my new internals and is instaiing them in the lock ad getting the rest of it togehter. Ordered a 8rib kit and will be getting that installed Tuesday. I ordered some C/C plates from MT so hopefully that will help out my alignment issues with the car. Also will be getting my light bar sometime in the next 2 weeks. Eerything should be done by Tuesday or wednesday with me picking it up Wednesday. I'm so pumped right now.

Be pateint I don't have the disposable camera's back yet to get processed. And the C/C plates will wait to go on till I get the car back in my posession. Number's come next week along with a little video of it. I will get the lightbar next week or before I PCS to Hurlburt field, FL. Pics for everyone. I'll be at Kuaffmans on the 23rd along with my buddy and his 01 KB'd Saleen he should be making alittle more power than me. Also who ever shows up after the car is done on the dyno I'll take you for a ride. I'm very excited about this week. Hell I feel like sending out birth announcments! The money tree was a very well deserved early B-day gift from my little brother. He said he wanted to get in on the Mustang game but didn't want the burden of owning one and getting the itch for more power! So he said I'll hook you up with a new heart and soul for this pony! Hell ya FREEBIE!

Alright well by 2pm while I'm just waking up from my daytime sleep (since I'm on nights till this Wednesday) last work day BTW. The friendly UPS guy should be ringing my doorbell with my wake-up call of much awaited parts being delivered! And in my sleepy haze I will drop the parts off at the shop and they will be installed. Then the motor will be install Tuesday with my much longer awaited TQ converter. And I'll be all set! Now these next 2 days are going to drag. This weekend should be fun!

wow sounds awesome, cant wait to see how that baby turns out, too bad you couldnt do heads and cams and headers, thats what im doing (hopefully the heads) should be around 315-320hp with a 100-200 shot of nitrous, hey maybe if i get bored i'll drive up there and give you a race...lol jk

This is such bullsh!t. I've forked out over 1000.00 for this **** and everyone is dragging *** on getting the crap to me! M/T has pissed me off thanks for letting me know you didn't have the c/c plates in stock! You should post up on your website that the stuff is coming from Cali. If I knew it would take this long for **** to come in I would have paid an additional 400.00 total for next day to get my parts here in time. At this rate I'll end up having to cancel my tune since *** clowns can't ship their ****. Yup very pissed right now. All this waiting for parts is going to cost me. Kauffmans is the only place that has parts standing by for my arrival to install.

Wait they dont block this site at your work? What base are you at? They block everything here. It sucks, 12 hour shifts watching screens with no tv, movies, games, or good internet. And of course no windows. I gotta get out of this career field.

Well after a nice day of waiting for UPS to arrive they did 1 hour before I came to work. The engine will be done tomorrow. And ready to fire on Wed afternoon. I'll take the car back Thursday probably. This 8 rib kit looks like it will definatly help out. The tensioners and TQ convertor are here as well. So this day was a good day. This week is getting better and I'm not pissed anymore.

I got a crap load of pics for this build but am going to have to wait to get them developed and scanned.

Update to motor:

Crank is balanced and installed
rods and pistons in and torqued.
everything else will be on tomorrow morning and motor should be in the car tomorrow.:clap:

 

Alright well took the last of the parts over to be installed. My builder had the shortblock finished now it's time for the rest to get on their. He said that it will be complete before the end of the business day. 4pm EST. So tomorrow the motor will be back in and fired. I'll be going over to watch the install and throw a extra hand in the install since I have nothing else to do! Plus I have to ideo tape it all. I'll be up late doing the c/c install but that is about it. I'm freak'n' pumped about this. Eerything looks good, my builder said it was a ery easy rebuild since I didn't break anything. So looks like I'll be driving again this Thursday.

 

Wow, can't believe i missed this...Congrats on the build up, I don't think you should have any problems hitting 500hp! Gotta have pics and videos when you get to it.
