Default Progressive Nitrous.....

I am about to buy this progressive controller for my kit.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HSW-A...spagenameZWDVW

I like this one because I dont think I need a digital one and I already have a window switch. I like it because of the way the ***** are positioned. I am going to install it right inbetween the drivers seat and the center console......

I think it would be GREAT there because I can have the adjustability right there at my fingertips on the fly....... I was going to buy an Xcal 2 but I will hold off on that for a couple more weeks. I figured that with the progressive controller I will only be making the full 100hp at the top of the powerband. That should make the power ALOT softer on the engine. I figured I would start at 20% and ramp up for about 2 seconds to the full 100%. I was thinking about an RPM based controller but they are expensive ($400).

20% will be a 20 shot right off the bat. That should kill off any lean spikes I was having. Normally an un-tuned nitrous pill will run richer at the top of the powerband. Since I wont be making full power until then, I think I can wait on the dynotune for just a couple more weeks. I may just have the A/F ratio checked after I have the controller installed.

Depending upon how the nitrous feels while progressive, I may run that all the time. I will definately have it from a dig for some much needed traction. But from a roll I love how the initial hit allows me to get a jump on other cars.

I know these things are hard on the solenoids but I am planning on buying some nice solenoids in the future. Others I have talked to say that theyre controllers dont hurt the solenoids. I think I can run much faster times at the track with this.

Any problems you guys see here?

Progressive controllers pulse the solenoids. This will lead to pre-mature failure of the solenoids. Many nitrous experts (and myself) do not recommend their use. Fix your traction problem and launch on the juice.........

just get a set of BFG or MT drag radial and heat them up good and launch out the hole on the kit, you wont spin much at all I've seen it dont alot with my boy's Mach1 on a 175 shot and a BFG. The progressive thing is a waste of money and time IMO, you wont feel the power as much from the juice!
