i noticed the trash talking political ads have already started. nothing like Presidential candidates throwing each under the bus, and talking trash on the other's campaign...so glad to know to know that all the politicians that represent our f***in country are still in Kindergarten!!! :mad:

i wonder what would happen if everyone in the US decided not to vote for a new President on Election Day. They all voted for everyone else, Congress, Senate, etc...but just not the President.

what's the contingency plan for something like that? and what kind of chaos might that bring?

Don't know, but that will never happen.

Elections should be where you have several qualified canidates to choose from, each with thier own merrits and agendas and you choose the one who best represents you.

That's the exact reason I didn't vote in the last election. I hated both candidates. All I know this time around is, I'm voting democrat. Unless it's hillary, then I'm voting republican.

as much as the Republicans have dropped the ball the past two terms, i take comfort in the fact that none of the other Republicans are as stupid and retarded as Bush.

The one good thing I've seen Bush do...was to PREVENT HOMO'S FROM GETTING MARRIED. but that's pretty sad that that, is the highlight of his presidency...even Clinton achieved more than Bush.

So "if" I were to register to Vote...i'd vote for Guiliani. I think he would represent the nation to it's best out of all the candidates.

you don't need to be married to get someone's possessions when they die...you can leave it to them in a will. If I wanted...right now I could take an insurance policy out on you Jack...if i had your consent, and if you died, I would get the payout on that policy, or whoever I left as the benefactor.

I could take one out on my dad, or my brother, or my best friend. anyone can take a life insurance policy out on anyone so long as you consent, and if i had life insurance policy, whoever I want as the beneficiary is gonna get my stuff.

As far as the religious aspect.... in my view the fastest way to world peace is to abolish all forms of religion. Religion just gets in the way of progress... then again, i can say that cause i dont believe in any religion, i dont think any of them are even remotely close to connecting the hammer to the nail.

This entire ANTI GAY MARRIGE just seems like a complete waste of time and energy.

There are a lot of things that are right for some people and wrong for others. I just think it is kind of shitty to impose laws against somebody else from doing something they want simple cause some dusty old manuscripst from various authors that were assembled (with some left out) then translated 50 freakin times says so. I say let people do what they want. Religious imposition is one of the main reasons people use an an escuse to attack/kill/oppress another group of people.

I dont think they consider that the same. People like to havre a label so people know exactly where they stand in other peoples lives. that is why women want to be married and are not content on being a girlfriend. being "Married" validates them. I guess the queer folk just want the same.

My buddy's tim's wife died of cancer about a month or two back. horribly process that cancer, but they were boyfriend/girlfriend for years and years, she always pestered him to be married, but his ex wife cheated on him so he was totally against marrige. A week before she died he married her, they had a chaplain perform the ceremony on sand that he had brought in from seattle since she wanted to be married on the beach. They family was there, they exchanged vows. However, they never signed the papers.

So at her funeral i thought it was interesting because since they were not Married in the eyes of the law, and how they were never really "engaged" they had refferred to him as the "boyfriend" which really somehow seemed to diminish his role in her life even though in her eyes the sun rose and set upon him.

Maybe that is what they really want, some type of social validation on thier standing of importance with the person they are with.

Plus there are tax breaks, stuff like that which married couples get.


lol.... ya know what is messed up? I get AETNA insurance at work. I got the best insurance package which costs me pre-tax about 190 a pay-period. This year at Benefit enrollment they have a new status for "Domestic Partner" which i assume is for gay folk. Funny thing is the same insurance package costs them 120 a pay period.

I have a buddy who is a homer. He is allright though cause he doesent like shopping, has no interest in broadway, and would rather kick back and drink a 6 pack and talk about the last UFC fights than discuss window treatments.

Great guy. Awesome guy. Very dependable friend. And all in all he is a far better person than most. The only thing about him that i find kinda gross is his whole gay-ness. He aint ashamed of it, but while he is gay, he does not define himself by his homersecksuality, he defines himself by his achievements and the same standards straight people define themselves.

The idea that he is unethical and immoral and has anything to do with the decline of values and integrity is absolutly laughable. I can compare him to 50 random people on the street and i can garauntee he is a person of higher standard and integrity than 48 of those people.

Anyway, you are completely wrong about life insurance. You CAN NOT get insurance on anyone you want, there is this little clause in life insurance policy which states that you must prove that you have "Insurable interest" which means that if the person you are buying the policy for dies that you will stand to lose something of value, ie: business partner that pays half of the bills or a spouse that takes care of the kids and helps to pay bills, etc etc etc.. The only life insurance policy that does not need insurable interest would be a minor, ie: your child.
