i just signed up yesterday and some people were asking for pics of my car so here they are, all ive put on so far are 17" black bullitt rims and a dual exhaust w/ glasspacks, i think my next mod will be lowering springs to give it a better stance and close up some of that extra space around the wheels

Lances03SVT 08-18-2005 08:01 PM

Nice, will look a thousand times better lowered.

cmsbluedevil 08-18-2005 08:05 PM

if i do get it lowered, what would i have to do about the exhaust though, cuz right now the tips stick out below the back end and pretty much touch it, if i get it lowered should i ask them to take the exhaust down too or cut holes or what

Lances03SVT 08-18-2005 08:07 PM

Have them put dumps (turndowns) on and you should be fine or find someone with a GT that wants too trade bumpers.

cmsbluedevil 08-18-2005 08:12 PM

ok, well i know nothing about lowering (along w/ alot of other things obviously) but what all would be necessary and do you think downturned pipes would look good? by the way thnx for all the help, this is one of the most helpful message boards ive been on in awhile

Lances03SVT 08-18-2005 08:16 PM

Glad too help. With turndowns you won't see the tips at all, they will be underneath the car, some GT guy's do that because they like the clean look of the V6 rear bumper. For lowering you will need springs, shocks if you have alot of miles and depending on how low you go caster/camber plates.

cmsbluedevil 08-18-2005 08:18 PM

well i planned on buying the c springs i talked about in the other topic off of here eventually, so 1 or 1 1/2 in. probably, and i have about 74K on it

Lances03SVT 08-18-2005 08:20 PM

Springs and shocks/struts should be all you need with that drop.

MattJ 08-18-2005 08:22 PM

That car is FILTHY, boy! wash that up.

cmsbluedevil 08-18-2005 08:23 PM

alright thnx, and one last question (sorry like i said im pretty ignorant about this stuff) is there anyway to keep the exhaust where you can still see it or pretty much i have to go w/ the downturned pipes, i know i cant get a new bumper

Lances03SVT 08-18-2005 08:25 PM

Hmmmmm you should be ok with the drop of the C springs.

stang00 08-19-2005 01:15 PM

do side exhaust please that would be sick sell the exhaust u ahve now and get the adapter and do the steeda cdc or rousch side exhaust

cmsbluedevil 08-19-2005 01:26 PM

i dont have the money for a roush bodykit and other than getting one of those i hate side exhaust, i'd rather just get it turned down under the car or leave it like it is

Juicedcoupe 08-19-2005 09:21 PM

Nice car,the C springs will make a huge difference. I had them on my last Mustang.

cmsbluedevil 08-20-2005 07:56 PM
