2 pairs of pants, an electric toothbrush and $200. Not worth a picture IMO.

Got a bunch of random stuff from the parents, some nice new bed sheets and a couple of restaurant gift cards.

Jessi surprised the hell out of me this year. We usually exchange gift lists and use those for our ideas, but she got me something that I didn't even mention just because of the price and I didn't want her to think she had to spend a bunch of money.

It's the GoPro Hero "helmet mount" setup and she got me the motorsports Suction cup mount + a tripod mount! It is the new version with full HD and the 5.0mp camera mode. I can't freakin' wait to use it next year at the track because I've been wanting one of these things forever!

She also got me a $75 gift card for AM which is awesome because I'm getting ready to start collecting the parts to build the rear end with a 31-spline setup.

GoPro FTMFW!!!!

The GoPro is the ****, but just FYI that SD card is not going to work with it since it is only a class 4 card. To shoot 720p or 1080p video you're going to need a class 6 SD card or higher. I'd go ahead and do a class 10 since you're going to need a new one anyways. And I'd also recommend getting something to charge it with in the car (i just have a cigarette lighter to USB adapter) since the battery life is only two hours (mine is usually one and a half hours after turning it on and off, etc.).

****, I'm jealous of the GoPro, I want one so bad. My girlfriend's Mom got me a new video camera for graduation and I thought about taking it back and spend a little more to get the GoPro.

Anyways, I got:
-Torque Arm from Maximum Motorsports
-A Mequiar's car detailing kit, plus some other random cleaners, waxes, and mits not in the kit with some WD-40 thrown in.
-Kershaw Leek, OD Green w/ a black blade.
-$75 Best Buy card
-Acqua Di Gio cologne set
-Another cologne set, Twilight Woods from Bath and Body?
-NFS Hot Pursuit, which I may take back. Haven't played it but I don't play games much.
-Grand Theft Auto Liberty City series, taking it back, I just really don't like video games.
-A life vest, paddle, and waterproof container for my cannoe
-Socks and boxers
-A pair of dress pants
-An electronic photo frame
-Wireless mouse
-A 'Skeleton Key' bottle opener
-Bottle of Rouge Double Dead Guy and a homebrewer's magazine
-A camera bag to replace one that the girlfriend's mom got me that was too big that I need to take back.
-Some exercise clothes.
-Money from various people, about $150

Interesting, GoPro says:
  1. "The HD HERO camera supports SD/SDHC cards up to 32GB (any SD card over 2GB is considered a SDHC card). We recommend name brand SDHC cards with a class 4 rating or higher. The two cards that we mostly use in house, which work well are the Kingston and Patriot brand class 4 cards. We mostly use the 16GB class 4 card, as it gives you the most 'bang for your buck'.
I guess the Class 10 is just faster memory transfer? Either way you're mostly right, it's actually only a class 2 card or at least that's what it says on the back. lol

Well, class 4 will work for the standard definition modes, but yes the higher class gives you the higher transfer speeds which equates to a better frame rate and all about "smoothness" of everything. You want a class 10. I have video from a class 4, 6, and 10 card and can tell the difference between all three without missing a beat. The class 10 even has a little bit better sound quality I believe, but it might just be a placebo effect.

You can get some for cheap off of Amazon too.

A class 2?!?! No offense, but thats a pretty old school SD card then. The standard now is at least class 4 for the most part. We don't even sell class 2's at work anymore.

Best friend Michelle got me a Walmart gift card and made me a framed collage of pics that we took together.

Best friend Amie (LilMissLayla that used to post on here) got me something, but I haven't been able to get it yet.

My secret Santa at work gave me a cookbook of all her recipes because I'm always bothering her for recipes because she's one hell of a cook and a bunch of candy (which is what I asked for, haha)!

Nick (boyfriend) got me some Reebok Easy Tone shoes, a jacket and some shirts from Pacific Sunwear, a Skullcandy Pipe portable speaker system for iPods, and he surprised me with a pair of diamond earrings.

What kind of cards are you using? I can't really find any good solid info on teh intarwebz and GoPro recommends Patriot or Kingston class 4...

This one seems to be a popular option among a lot of people.

I'm not a big patriot fan....I prefer Kingston or PNY all day long. Especially when I found out that they were part of the organization that first started implementing solid-state hard drives.

I got two 8gb class 10 PNY sdhc cards for around $20 each. I have used those since day one in my DSLR and the GoPro.

I have ONE kingston class 10 32gb.....just for *****. Got it for $5 shipped. Love kingston reps when they come to best buy.

Beware that 8gb only gives you two hours of video if shooting in full 1080p mode. Long, but not if you forget to clear it off from last time....just a heads up lol.
