Default new top

i need help guys. what should i do about the letters on the back bumper? as you can see they dont match the top anymore. i can take the beige letters off and leave it, put black letters on, get some ss letters, or my favorite idea so far is to get a back bumper off of a 03/04 cobra and shave the word cobra off. i never liked having those letters on the back so im leaning towards a shaved cobra bumper, i just wanted some opinions... btw, does anyone know a good place to find a cobra back bumper?

I love the shaved letter look also. But that's probably pricey, If you have the money go for it, but remeber how much performance you could get out of that kind of money :laughing8 If on a budget, 10 mins with a blow dryer and those letters will come right off, then put the black ones on. Just my 2 cents

Stick with black unless you want to spend the money on bumper. I would wait until someone hits me in the back before I would replace a good bumper.

it looks fine, nobody even notices the top doesnt match the interior. im going to paint all of the darker panels black soon and get some black seats, it should look a lot better after that.

heh, i wish i knew what springs they are. they were on the car when i bought it. i want it lower than that though.

i wish you would have told me about the v6 bumper a little sooner, a guy backed into my car a couple days ago and cracked the taillight and put a small dent right below it. i just picked it up from getting repainted. i coulda had them paint the v6 bumper for me instead. =(

here's a pic with no letters, i guess im gonna order some black letters for now until i find a used 03 cobra bumper.

You can sometimes identify the springs by color and small writing on them. I know H&R writes their name on the lower half of their springs where its visible and they are also colored for the type of spring they are IE sport, supersport, drag, ect...

If you don't mind me asking where did you get the black top, after seeing that i've decided to change my top. :icon_thum

BTW: your car looks great, love the gas cap, and if your springs are blue they may be steeda thats what i have.

i went to a local upholstery shop, cost me $650. most places will try to charge you $1200 and up just search around, dealers are usually the most expensive so try to avoid them. it took one day to finish it.
