Man you must have really studied those pictures to figure that out! What benefit would it be removing that? Other than washing the car and all the water not dribbling out after you already spent time drying it

lol it was the first thing i noticed in the pic of the red car, and the water dribbling out is going to end up making me buy a cowl lol, i cannot take it anymore

Well the red mustang is my girlfriend's car. Here's the story behind that.

I hated the fact that when we would be at car shows and the people who aren't as educated with Mustangs would look at the scoop in disappointment. They would find that up close the honeycomb insert is fake. So we actually took the hood liner off and found something interested. There was almost a template for cutting a hole in the hood. Took the scoop off (with the grill obviously too), took a cutter to it, and made a nice scoop. As far as water goes. You really have to be traveling at high speeds during the rain for a "significant" amount of water. And while washing the car, you need to be almost purposly trying to get water up in there.

I think it's a small detail that goes far...that's one thing I just can't stand about Ford and scoops, they're all fake. I actually made sure that when I ordered my 07 GT that I didn't get the apperance package, which again, comes with a "fake" hood scoop. I know some people don't care as much, just gets to me.
