Here is a 97cobra that had a 5.4L 4v headed swap with a Cobra R-manifold rip off from Boss330 racing:



Justin from VMPtunings g/f's blown v6 (ran 13.0x all weekend)

 

Now what was the best to me, a REAL 2000 Cobra R totaly stock with 15" wheels out back and drag radials ran 12.12@114mpg best this weekend on road racing setup. I mean this car literally didnt hook at all in first gear till he slammed it into 2nd gear. It was great to watch and i talked him for a few mins.

If your saying "hey its missing the front splitter" your right as he took it off this weekend because he said he didnt want to damage it. You can see the holes where it goes in the front bumper.

And now this truck which i loves because it looked so nasty and just almost pulled the front wheels it barked all 4 tires off the line. Was alot of fun to watch. (truck in near lane)

 

cobra r isnt totally stock. he replaced with an 01 bumper.

 

No its the correct bumper (note the no fog lights) if you look in my post you can see that i explained the missing front splitter. hence why it looks a bit funky from the front.

 

sorry i missed that reading part... just looked at pics. but it also does have a roll cage. cobra rs didnt come with roll cages.

Great pics Spike!!! Matt, i've seen a local guy who has a Cobra R also and his came with a cage in it also. Said he baught it right off the line with it. Possibly an option with them??

 

He had to add a cage for The road racing he used too do. I have heard of dealers installing cages also in R's before they were sold. I just cant belive i saw a real R and a guy was actully beating on it. I mean thats just too cool. He told me he used to road race it then he got tired of that. it sat in his garage and then he wanted to try and drag race it. I mean how many real 00 R's have you seen let alone at a drag strip. Just too damn cool.

Thing was awfull at the track though with that stiff *** road racing setup.

 

Yea the local guy with his is a douche. If you even get within 3ft of it he flips out telling you to back off from it and his wife is the same way!! It was at a car show and he wouldnt even let the judges get close enough to look at it!!!
