Finished installing the pro-kit today and am completely happy, especially since it still needs to settle a little bit.

Thanks alot, ended up having to paint the center of the door black, I think it came out pretty good, thinking of painting the screws as well, but don't have the time atm. Its been alot of fun and work (and $$$) getting it to this point. Gonna start working on performance mods now 8-).

Thanks for the comments, suggestions/criticisms are much appreciated. This is the first car I've decided to do all the mods myself (except the gears, not that crazy). Here's a pic of what I started with from the dealer, hehe, not bad for having it for just a month.

BTW, several friends from work helped with the springs (well, at least they helped drink the beer, it was very hot outside)

 

You used to have a ***** hanging off your fender. ROFL glad you fixed that problem. I have the same 8" on mine too.

The Mach 1 I bought for a weekend car and I had an Explorer Sport Trac for a daily driver. I bought them both a couple of months apart. Ended up loving the mach and hating the Sport Trac. My job requires me to travel around the country alot. In the past 2 years, I've gone from Dallas, Tx to Lewiston-Auburn, Maine, to Birmingham, Alabama and back to Dallas. I ended up putting 32k miles on the Trac and 26k on the mach. And even though I put 32k miles on the Trac, I still hated driving it. It has no power, sits way too high for comfort and got crappy gas mileage (5.6k lbs vehicle with a 4.0 V6 = crappy gas mileage). When I got back to Dallas, I started driving the mach as a daily, lots better gas mileage, but requires 93 octane. Anyway, the gas prices started going up as well as the mileage on the mach, so I wanted to get a daily driver I would like driving and would feel comfortable to me, started looking at an auto V6 or V8 (had to be an auto and not a 5spd, 5 spd in 1-2 hour traffic jams = suck, me ----> getting lazy), got a good deal on an '02 GT ( 62k miles, serviced every 5k, clean history, 12k $$). The GT is my 8th mustang, and I still have a '78 Mustang II that I'm restoring. I have mustangs in my blood and although I like the newer retro stangs (kinda), I love the New Edge body style more. The GT is now my DD and I'm loving every minute I drive it. Long reply, hope that it sheds a lil light for ya.

Thanks StangGT804, I honestly can't complain about my life, I love my job, I ride into a strange town in my pony, help the locals with some hero work for a few months and then ride off into the sunset hehe, along the way, I get to meet alot of ppl, save a alot of lives and see the country.

i have the same antenna too except i didnt pay to have a shorter antenna...i chopped the stocker and painted it black! and looks the same as a 10$ one!
