Default Blacked out Pony emblem...help me decide

A few days ago, I bought Foncarelli's old Pony emblem so I could paint it and save my original. Went with flat back and a couple coats of clear. You can't see it very well in the pics, but it's a lot more visible in person. Still kinda stealthy lookin', but I'm not sure about it. Any comments?

Sorry for the huge-ass pics, but it's the only way I could get it to somewhat show up...

Thanks again for the emblem, Foncarelli.

I like it. I also like how the bottom piece of your grill delete doesn't have any gaps in it. What did you use to hold it down?

I did it in black first to take away from some of the yellow. I've got a friend who works at a paint shop...I'll leave it in black for a while and see if it grow on me. If not, i'll see if he can shoot it in yellow.

Yeah, it doesn't look that drastic in person. If I can figure out how to get a better pic, I'll post it...

Thanks! I doubled up a couple of strips of 3M tape and used a heat gun to "mold" the delete to the bumper. Worked out pretty good...so far.

Yeah I like the black emblem a lot. I painted mine black and haven't put it back on yet to see how it looks. I say keep it black but maybe put a yellow outline around it or something if you want to include the yellow.

Here ya go bro. Its a quick photoshop, and the yellow is off a bit but you can get an idea of what it would look like yellow. I do like the black alot, and the yellow isn't bad. I think some kind of yellow accents on the black pony would be cool, but not sure how you could do it.

Thanks for the 'chop...I like the look of the yellow...might have to do that. I'll keep it black for now and see what happens.

Foncarelli, did you just decide to not go with black emblems or didn't like how they looked?

I might not have any emblems at all. I am getting the"Saleen" shaved off the bumper, Roush front fascia, rear spoiler and hood re-aligned. So when i get it back, i will make my decision.

I did the same thing to my emblem just before winter and it looks a million times better as far as I'm concerned. I'm trying to stick to the DSG and black and the chrome emblem just stood out way too much. I was real nervous I wouldn't like it and only tried it since I had an extra emblem but I haven't changed it ever since I put the black one on. Also, it looks a ton better in person than it does in pictures.

Hey charcoalGT, VERY nice ride you have there!!! Your's seems to show up better in pics. I like the way it looks on yours. The more i look at mine the more I like it. I think a yellow one might be too much. I like the subdued look of the black pony.

I would just simply like to see a dyno graph between stock hood and that hood to prove it.

Thing is, you cant, considering that hood you have would act as a "ram air" supposedly. Not even the shaker scoops add that much power.

dude, did u see how big the air inlets are in my hood? Easily twice the amount as the mach1's hood so stop talkin like you knw your stuff. i felt the difference right away. it was like a tiny 25 shot, but thats nothin to my 100 shot. 5.slow's hate when I spray them. haha. o well sucks for their slow self. i see why they get mad the equation shouldn't be 3.8 > 5.0 cuz thats just bad math. o well.

and when my dad dyno'd it after the hood was put in, he got a cold air blower and put it right up to the hood scoop to simulate real air goin in and voila..25 hp.

sorry dude but that ugly ass riceboy mustang you got doesnt get 25 hp from a honda civic hood you put on there. Youll get 0 horsepower from that hood and Ill sign my car over to you if you can prove to me otherwise.
