Default ABS Module

Randy;
I am looking for an ABS module for my 96 Cobra. My local Ford dealer says that the part is obsolete from Ford and I was wondering if you some place to get it.

Thank you.

I'll check my sources but just to make sure, is it just the module you need? or the control unit or both?

According to the work order, it just says ABS Module. It says that I am not getting a signal from my left rear wheel, which causes my ABS light to come on after about 15 minutes of driving. I bought a set of used ABS wheel sensors from someone on this board, who said that they were for the rear of the 96 Cobra. They had two differant part numbers on them so I called the same dealer's parts dept and they told me that these were actually for the front, not the rear of the Cobra. So, I am wondering if it would be smart to buy a "module" as he called it, or replace the left rear sensor instead? Do you think that would be cheaper? I can give you the fault code that he put on the work order if that will help.

Thanks.

Phil

I think getting the correct "new" wheel sensor would be a better choice, since it will be alot cheaper to replace and the fact that I cannot remember the last time I sold an ABS module or HCU, but we sell plenty of sensors....left rear sensor is $52.41 + s&h and a day or too toget.....

Randy;
No problem; we are three hours behind you anyway.

Can you include the hardware? Mind looks pretty crummy. Hmmm....I wonder if that means someone has changed this out before?
