Hello all!!!
1988 Mustang LX 5.0L automatic(aka Snowflake) belongs to my gf Gina. I'm Jonathan, and I just wanna learn as much as possible about the car. Looking forward to mooching after all you guys and gals knowledge you have built up over the years of being 'stang owners. I don't get to drive the car much(and never the way I'd like to) but I wanna keep it in great shape for her. She wants to keep the car very stockish and streetable, so please don't get bored of the questions I may ask. After 1 year of ownership the car has had no major probs, just routine maintenance. There are this and that wrong with the nearly 20 year old car, but I'll not bore you with all that here. For now, I'm just proud to say that it gets driven often, runs good, is pretty straight, and generally is a clean hot rod that turns heads anytime it is driven. That may have a lot to do with the sexy girl behind the wheel!
Oh yeah, don't hate too much either - hehehehe - but I myself am a Pontiac Firebird fanatic who just loves anything that goes fast. That fact will give you GM haters plenty of ammo, but I can take it.

Thanx for the welcomes! Been trying to do a gallery for the pics, but evidentally I don't have any small enough to make a gallery. I have some posted on Flickr.com - click here for a link. For now, you can get a smal peek in the avatar pic, or just check this out... this is Gina and her 'stang earlier this year(the time stamp should read 2007)
One question though - while browsing other sites on different open windows this site must have a log out timer. How long is that and could I adjust it?

Thanks! No pearl, in fact it is what some might call a "30' car" referring to the distance you have to be away from car to miss the imperfections. It was always a white car, but the newest white was applied by a backyard dealer who admitted even before we went to see car that it was only about the 10th car he had ever painted. With some finish work I think it could smooth out a bunch! No matter, sure it looks better now than the OE white looked after the years I'm sure. The body is straight and unwrecked, just some dings and such here and there. He did little bodywork, just a bit on both quarters. The shade is actually - heaven forbid - Honda Taffeta(sp?) white.

Thanks again for more welcomes !!!
If beers are served, I'll have 1 or12 tyvm!
Gina will bring me a beer and even drive me around. She doesn't drink, so along with all her other assests she makes for a great DD. In fact there's a video of one such instance. It's filmed in the car, so it relates to the site. I'll post you a link :2min. youtube video link
This is actually her 2nd Mustang, but the other was a while back. Unluckily it was totalled for her when a pizza delivery guy ran smack into the back of her. I tried to talk her into a F-body but she wouldn't have anything to do with it.

I loved the fox bodies, back when they ruled the streets(only things stockish back then that could hurt 'em were turbo cars - 300Zs and 1 of the bests of all time - GRAND NATIONAL!) and even shopped SN95 cars before I got my 1st 4th gen. F-body. I never really liked the '94 and newer 'stang styling anyway, so once I drove an LT1 car I was sold no questions asked. The LS1 T/A is my 2nd 4th. gen, the 1st was a '93 Formula. I just love the black 'birds, so me and my gf are at total opposite ends of the ponycar battles.
