Hey folks.
Ive been on here for a week or so, just noticed this forum, figured i should hit it up.
Bought my first mustang back in November, an 04 Black GT w 40th anniversary package.
Got totally hooked into the whole car thing. Still kinda new to me. Got an X-pipe straight pipes setup installed from a local custom exhaust company. They did fantastic work, i love the sound of the V8 without any mufflers.
Also installed a K&N Cold Air Intake.
Got some stuff on order, including new tail lights, an 8inch black attenna, 9mm door locks, 4.6L V8 decals for the side of the hood scoop, and a steeda headlight ****. Should all arrive in the next day or two. Got an appointment for window tinting this saturday as well.
Future plans, this friday im going to order up the mach-1 chin spoiler, im getting some custom 281 Badges ordered up with "Support our troops" beneath it, and also getting a 3rd brake light sticker that will let "AMERICAN" shine through. In case you cannot tell, im a U.S. Veteran. <grin>
Have not done a whole lot in the engine except the K&N. I plan to get an accufab plentum and intake spacer.
The biggest problem is i'm not wealthy enough to be able to afford large repair bills, so im trying to soop it up as much as possible without voiding the warranty.
Already had the rear main oil seal start leaking on me and i was under 5k miles. Gotta love american cars. Nice and leaky.
Down the road i would like to replace the current stripes with shelby-style stripes. Not too worried about having the fastest car on the road, i just love driving the damn thing though.
I'll try to get some pics put up sometime next week.

Welcome to the forum, and great starting plans on the stang. As a word of advice on that black stang of yours, hand wash it with a delicate mitt or sponge and NEVER take it though any car washes with bristles. Also keep that baby waxed and it will reflect on how well you take car of it. Black is the hardest color ever to keep nice.

Yah, black is definatly higher maintenance, but if you keep it up it looks spactacular. This car never has, nor ever will see a bristled car wash. Normally i just tak it down the road to the DIY carwash and blast it with the high pressure wash, never the scrub brush, then i drive it home and dry it off with some drying towels., Once it is nice and dry i spray it down with this stuff i got (miguells os something like that, cannot remember the name) and wipe it clean. I have Turtlewax black wax that i will use one month, and the next i will wax it with another type of wax (miguelles's again i think, i can never remember what it is though).
Every other day i give it a quick once-over with a "glossier" hand wipe.
Right now it without a doubt has the deepest shine i have ever seen on a black car. You can almost lose yourself in it. <g>
I have a garage to keep it safe, but unforutnatly there is a used hot tub in there i have not gotten moved yet. Once i get it moved im gonna garage my stang and probably keep it covered. Save up 1000-1500 and buy a cheap used old beater car to get to work and back and drive during crappy weather.
Keep my whip in prime tip-top condition, make a project car out of it.
I really like this board, nice friendly people here. I havent seen any trolls either.
