Default Well, my impression of Magnaflows...

Well, had my dad drive the stang to the muffler shop today while I was at school, (HAHA, makes me sound so little), and had them weld in my magnaflows. Well I had a prochamber and flows, and anyone that has gone from flows to Magnas will tell you that its like you went deaf all of a sudden. Dang do I miss my loud, annoying, droning, screaming, and just all around badass flows/prochamber combo. I like the sound the magnaflows give me, but its almost TOO quiet. I shoulda just gone with some flowmaster 3 chambers, but well, we live and learn and now I know what they are like for future stangs. Dont get me wrong, it still sounds good, but its dang near quiet as stock, and I dont even have cats...Oh well, I will get used to it, and Ill love it when I get on the interstate and dont have to listen to it drone the whole way. Just thought Id let yall know how they are.
Matt

Ive had flowmasters on every stang ive had when i was young, Ill take the magnaflows that are on my current mustang anyday. The sound nice. Have someone drive your car on some drive bys while you listen. Youve just been deafened by the flows for so long!!!

Plus now i can sneak in late and not wake the other half up!!!

Lol, yea thats funny you say that because my dogs used to bark every night when I would pull up, and last night, they didnt even make a squeak. Im sure its still loud, but im so used to the flows that its hard to believe that my car is this quiet.

So that I could drive around, being a 17 year old highschool student, and not have to baby my car to keep it quiet enough for all the cops in Lexington to know where I was. Also, the 3.73s put it right where it droned the worst on the interstate, so now thats fixed. Just was time for something new. My dad will actually drive it now...haha.

magnaflows are very quiet until you hit the loud pedel. i got them for that reason so i could put my 2 yr old in it with out making his ears bleed. but i do miss the chambered sound.

thanks for the info matt. I have the flows and stock H pipe and I hate the drone,I want a prochamber and the car a little quieter so I will probably go with the same set up you have. I was even considering reinstalling the stock mufflers if I install off road pipe until you posted this info.

I'm not sure if you can buy the Magnaflow Magnapack mufflers seperately, but if you can those are pretty loud. When I got my cat back system I was looking at those but Magnaflow said at 3000rpm the magnapacks would produce 105db versus 92db on the regular magnaflows. I have a vert so I wasn't looking for something to loud. They also said the Magnapacks will give your a little more hp. If your looking for loud and quality go with the magnapacks (if you can buy them seperately, not sure????)

Just my two cents

Although when i drive my girls car a cavelier, it is so quite, i then miss my stang.
