I got a Lincoln Electric stick welder for Christmas and felt it was time to spend a little time and cash tightening the '02 GT up. I put in a strut tower brace and welded in some sub frame connectors (with the seat reinforcements)... Holy Crap. I never realized how much the car flexed. It feels like a whole different car. It actually rides better and is less harsh sounding (over the bumps) and is totally stiff going around the twisties (the car that is). Along with gears, I think this should be on the list of one of the first mods done to the car.

SFC's are one of the best mods you can do to these cars to stiffen them up.

I was checking into a set of Maximum Motorsports SFC's earlier this morning.
