T63 is getting put on the shelf and replaced with T72 from Turbonetics. It would run out of air at 5600 in high gear. 1 and 2nd where awsome as long as I short shifted around 5300.

Anyone interested in a 5.4 4valve may want to check this out. You probably will not see this deal again.

http://www.karkraft.com/exotic_engines.htm

Scroll down, toward the bottom of the page is a complete Aussie Boss 290 longblock for $6,800.

Default longtubes...

Hmm well im thinking maybe i will just buy a

http://www.spdexhaust.com/pdfs/HeadF...=Mod-2V-4V.pdf

And get some mandrel bends and build my own longtubes for my DOHC... might even be able to fab a set or 2 extra for some people out of this... and i could build a custom mid pipe to... probably be able to do it all for 500$$... or so... just so some peeps would have some long tubes no gaurantee on performances gains and or losses though lol (knowing my luck it would be a loss in HP and TQ lol )

but i would like to run it before and after... to see if i did something good hehe...

I've basically got mine together, still waiting on parts but got a few questions:

EGR tube, Kinda a bitch to put back in, should I bother?

I've got a stray connector on the drivers side that looks like a fuel injector connector but its way off by itself. Any idea what it goes to?
Nevermind, got it, low coolant level... forgot about it since I havent got the expansion tank back on yet.

I deleted the EGR... LMK if you want my graphic with the how to. It's pretty easy, then just have it shut off in the tune.

Sure, It just pissed me off so out it goes. The motor is basically done, the ******* plug on the side of the oil pan is leaking, I guess I should of teflon taped it before I put it in. Just have to finish up the tranny and deal with a crossmember issue that just crept up.

Default 5.4 intake

I would definately take on e of those intakes. I am already looking at $300 for adapters then $200 plus ship for a PI intake with aluminum coolant crossover. I would have $500 in that setup so I'd be halfway to $1000 for that intake. What's the scoop on them being availavle for us to purchase?? Any ideas on final price?? Very interested.

the final price should be $798 accourding to bob at hps. not set in stone but he was pretty sure of it. so as soon as the first 3 get to us he'll have the first big run of them coming out i think. r3d know better then me about the situation.

Default 5.4 intake

I'd like to know exactly who/where to contact (name, number, business etc) to get one and when they'll be available. I'm doing my swap this winter and I'd like to get the big stuff in line before I dive in. Definately interested in more info. Thanks for the response.

Call up Bob Hardin at hiperformancesolutions.com and ask to slap down a deposit if you like. Then you'll be assured of getting one.

myillwillinc and hunter and I should be getting the first 3, and we'll promptly get them installed and dyno'd.

Default turbo systems

ALCON WHO ARE GOING TURBO....

Guys here in a couple months i will be back at my house, and i am going to be building my engine back up, I will be going turbo with my car, and for those we are interested, i can build a couple hot sides extra as i can weld. If you are interested shoot me a message, i will be doing 4v, first.... The buying will have to pay for all the parts i would need, plus supplies used... and shipping, but its looking like i can build my whole hotside for about 1300+ shipping, and the JET HOT coating is another 650+shipping.. for teh full hotside... these are ball park figures and can go up and down.. it will be V band connectors.

I will be able to do twin and single setups... i Might be able to do a 2 valve setup, trying to figure out if the header placement is any different on 4v and 2v ... if its not i can do a few 2v setups as well...

All pieces are going to be MIG welded... If you are interested shoot me a message or a email at Shakin_bakin@hotmail.com.....

Im not a pro at welding or building turbo kits... but the quality will be decent, and im not expecting a whole lot, as i know it was a PITA for me to try and find someone to build a kit, so i am just putting this out there for those interested to further expaned on the items for the 5.4 swaps...

also, i got a friend who is a dealer in Masterpower, and Turbonetics... if you want a full kit, i can probably build a whole kit for less thenmost kits on the market or right at it with name brand pieces (Turbonetics, tial, or Garret)...

Email me for questions....

also... buy those darn intakes!!!! there nice

Also, i will not be building longtubes for the 2v that option has been supplied and R3D worked hard to get those so i will not be taking away from there business... I am only offering up the 4v LT becuase no one makes them and there is no since to pay 1500 for a set of longtubes that got welded at a exhaust shop... that cost them 400 to make...

Default 5.4 intake

I just talked to Bob @ hiperformancesolutions today and I'm on the list. He said they will be taking pre-orders within the next week or so. They are quality testing the prototypes after the machining is all done to ensure the mass production will go well. Go to thier website for more info if anybody wants in.

I want one of the intakes, just doen't know how my money flow is going to be in the next 6 months. Maybe I can use the old credit card? Or I could just wait longer and buy one from someone else dumping the project.

after someone puts the intake on i think they won't drop the project. 800 bones is too much to just give up on a project.

the easiest way to delete the egr

get a screw on cap for the exhaust manifold with red locktite

use some rtv or egr gasket and a rectangular piece of metal with two holes drilled in it to block off the intake

buy some vacuum caps from advanced/oreilly/napa help section for less than a few dollars for the red vacuum line, the green on you can just omit all together since it's a connection between the valve and controller and your done

would be a good idea to get the computer adjusted for it though

Default my projected combination

Ok guys, here's my plan. I got a 97 5.4 out of an E-150. I plan putting my heads (PI) on it, just got a pair of Comp cams 270's, and I'm planning on getting a hardballr 5.4 intake when they become available. I've already got a FRPP 70MM throttle body, a JLT cold air kit and a C&L plenum. I've got an off road x-pipe that I may try to modify. My question is what headers do I get. Are there any to steer clear of?? I am worried about clearance issues.

75mm tb makes more peak and undercurve power than a 70mm even on a 4.6, a 5.4 will be an even bigger difference
