I can go to autozone/advanced auto etc. buy some shocks and struts for a fox body and it would first of all fit on my 2000 gt and second improve my ride with lowering springs? Because apparently the fox body components are a little shorter.
Am i understanding this right? Cheers Cooper |

Our cars are based on the fox platform, but they are in no way a Fox body.
Stick with shocks/struts made for your year .

fox body front springs will help you go faster in the 1/4 mile as they are much softer then stock, and thus transfer weight faster for better 60' times.

If you lower your car, and want to stay off the bumpstops, use Foxbody struts. Maximum motorsports recommends it, so do I having used both. The extra 1/2" of bump travel means a lot when your car is as low as mine. Don't get scared. It works and it's totally OK to do. |
