4.6 SOHC to 5.4 SOHC intake adapter plates
I know where i can find the DOHC intake adapter plates but what about the people like me trying to find them for a 4.6 SOHC to a 5.4 SOHC? I called Reichard Racing and they told me they would have them produced at the begining of this year but nothing yet. I've been waiting on a set for a few months now but no one has them. Can anyone help??

I pulled the heads of one of the 5.4's today and broke them loose on the other.
I'm taking the PI heads down to be ported and polished and a nice valve job.
Then they'll get a set of XE262's and some comp springs and be bolted back on to one of the blocks.
For those doing this:
propowerperf.com (call don't bother with the site) has good deal on decent rods.
everyone needs to call Reichard Racing and bug them to HTFU and finish the adapter plates for 2V 4.6-5.4 transplants.

The 5.4 is in my car and everything is pretty much done except for the intake but I have to have the intake adapter plates. I called Reichard racing twice in the past few days but i get the answering machine. :wallbash:

I bought an H pipe and had the exhaust shop modify it to work. I called Reichard Racing just now, they said the plates are produced but they are checking fitment and hardward needs. They said to call back on Thursday or Friday to order them.

It has the Saleen pulleys, Ford Racing high volume oil pump, MSD coil packs and MSD wires, Tunableinduction CAI, Accufab 75mm TB, C&L intake, New lower PI intake since now i will have PI heads, Aeromotive fuel pressure Regulator, MAC O/R H pipe, Walbro 255 fuel pump, 3.73 gears, Tubular K memeber, stock Saleen front and rear sway bars, Saleen load brace, Saleen caster camber plates. The internals of the motor are stock, it's an 2003 from and expedition with 10,000 miles on it. While i've been waiting on the intake plates, i've been replacing alot of small parts also. Replaced the stock T-45 with a 99 Cobra T-45.

Wooooo Hooooo! Fuggen Reichard Rocks!
Those of us that are doing the swap already, and those considering it really need to call up Reichard Racing and thank them for listening to the people and bringing a product to market to meet a very obscure need. They poured R&D time and money into it and they're not going to make a fortune on it, so we owe them at least a thanks.
Floppy.. do it man. It's really easy as swaps go. The exhaust is just a matter of cutting the pipes in a couple places and adding and removing material here and there. Come to think of it, I have a 99 cobra H pipe, I could just mock up the changes and post them in some sort of instructional format.
Hey Saleen330, could you check out your H pipe and snap some digi-pics of the areas they modded to make it work? I'll host them with the instructions on my web server.

OK. Reichard only made 20 sets so get em fast.
On the upside, I've started working with Hi-Performance Solutions, makers of a killer looking 4.6L intake that's inexpensive, cast from aluminum and really a valid design; on getting a similar intake for 5.4L motors. They're doing it.
I need someone in Western Texas to find a way to get a scrap 5.4 block delivered to HPS so they can mock up the intake.
As well, another company here in California is going to be working on adapter plates and perhaps a purpose built 5.4 intake. In any case, I'm working with them on that to the extent that I can.
I need everyone that's INTERESTED (no commitment) in swapping a 5.4 into your car. If you think you might, I need to know. If we don't get enough interest, they'll drop the project and that'll make me a sad panda.

Killer. Look on craigslist. Don't bother searching for 5.4, search for f-150 and f150 and ford and expedition and excursion. Usually a lot easier. Or, you can go to a local junkyard. Remember, all you need is the bottom half and the timing cover and chains. Most of the rest can transplant from your motor just as easily.
There's a guy over here in Cali with a PIMP nice RUNNING 5.4 for 1200. Should cost about 3-400 to ship. Cheapest motor you can buy and it doesn't need anything to it to run.

I installed the Reichard intake adapter plates on my 5.4 but i addressed to him that the passenger side rear intake bolt hole was off alittle and can't get the bolt in. I'm still happy with them and should have my car up and running by this weekend, just waiting on some new parts to complete my cooling system. If an intake was made for the 5.4, that would be sweet!!

Saleen... and Floppy, please send me your contact info to cburnss at gmail dot com... we should talk.
Price point is said to be destined for well under $1K, which is badazz for what you get for the 5.4L intake. Timeline... soon. Very soon.
